We are pleased to inform you that the Sons of Jacob Cemetery was officially listed in the National Register of Historic Places on 6/5/2017 in recognition of its contribution to the cultural heritage of North Dakota.
The National Register of Historic Places , established by the Secretary of the Interior under provisio ns of the National Historic Pr eservat ion Act of 1966, is the official list of the Nation’s cultural properties worthy of preservation.
We congratulate you and the other members of your community for the role that you have played in promoting historic preservation in North Dakota, and we want to especially thank you for the assist ance that you gave during the nomination process. This listing may make future project s eligible for mat chin g grant funds through the Hist oric Preservation Fund.
